Think your book club is the best?

This February, the Johnson County Library Foundation hosted a competition called, “My Book Club is Better Than Your Book Club”. For one month, book clubs posted on social media to get points and win prizes.

The book club with the most points won VIP tickets to the JCL Foundation’s upcoming Li brary Lets Loose party at the Central Resource Library on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

How to Play

Step #1: Register your book club with the form found at the bottom of this page.

Your book club will need a name; feel free to make up something silly or a literary reference.

We do need the real names and emails for each book club member and a team captain we can call or email with questions.

**Be sure to read all the rules below!**

As a thank you for registering, we will send a Johnson County Li brary book bag for each book club member.

Step #2: Start posting on Facebook or Instagram February 1^st with the hashtag #MyBookClubJCL!

Point Values:

“Like” the Johnson County Library Foundation Face book and Instagra m page – 5 points for each book club member
Post a picture of your Johnson County Library book bag – 5 points, limit 1 per book club member
Post a picture in a Johnson County Library – 5 points, limit 1 per day, per book club member
Post a picture of attending a Johnson County Library event – 10 points, limit 1 per day, per book club member

10 Extra Credit points for a picture at the following library events:

February 17^th – Legislative Coffe e at the Lenexa City Center Library
February 23^rd – Open M ic at Bear Necessities Coffee Shop
February 24^th – Legislative Coffe e at the Blue Valley Library

The top book club teams will be announced each week during the competition.

**Rules of the Game – Your team must have at least 2 members and be registered by February 10, 2024. Limit 15 members. All members must be over the age of 21 on or before September 21, 2024. Johnson County Library Foundation employees are exempt from playing. The winning team will be on the VIP guest list for the Library Lets Loose event on September 21, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Central Resource Library. Tickets are not transferable and have no cash value. The game runs from February 1, 2024 at 12:00 am to February 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm. You must use the hashtag #MyBookClubJCL to receive points. This contest is in no way affiliated with Meta, Instagram, or Facebook.
